HYPERTEC is a voxel style dogfighter set in space. It features modular ships and procedural weapon systems with inspiations such as Everspace and Borderlands. Our development is focused on
finding a mid-point between the movement of a fighter jet and a spaceship in zero gravity, with the goal of achieving a really satisfying movement system.
I am the Design Lead on this project, in charge of: asset production,
user experience, usability testing and game branding. I also started this project with writing a research paper in game user interfaces and how they can be designed to achieve cognitive flow.
